The 2021 Daytona 500 will mark a sad anniversary.

It will be 20 years since legendary driver Dale Earnhardt lost his life in a crash at Daytona International Speedway.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal will be marking the tragic milestone with special coverage as we build up to and roll through Speedweeks 2021, which will culminate Feb. 14 with the 63rd running of the Daytona 500.
