LETTER: COVID-19 headlines can be frightening
The headlines you print sure do scare a person like me: 79 years old with AFIB and COPD, but have you bothered to check the data?
It is to the state’s and the hospitals’ monetary advantage to over-report. I even read that five people who tested positive for COVID-19 were reported as deaths from the virus, although they were actually shot to death.
I am not completely stupid, I will take every precaution to avoid the virus, but I do not think it is good for anyone's mental health to have the media try to scare everyone to death.
