MILTON — Commissioner Rob Williamson is taking big steps in his political career.

Commissioner Rob Williamson has qualified to be a candidate in the Florida Association of Commissioners race for 2nd Vice President. The election for this position will be held on June 29 in Orange County during the FAC annual business meeting held during the FAC annual conference.

Williamson said the announcement will help bring better ideas and more resources to the county.

“This is more great news for our area” he said.

Williamson said that he feels honored that the 377 Florida commissioners have unanimously supported him to serve on the executive board.

“Their support is a compliment to the years of hard work of my fellow board of commissioners, staff and our county's progress,” Williamson said. “I'm humbled and grateful to have been given the opportunity to serve as an ambassador for our state and for Santa Rosa County. Together, we continue elevating Santa Rosa's relevance on the state and national level.”

Williamson currently serves as the commissioner of district four in Santa Rosa County and owns Rob Williamson Landscaping LLC.
