In partnership with Feeding the Gulf Coast, Men In Action Outreach hosted a food distribution event April 4 at the Milton Community Center.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, everyone receiving food was asked to stay in their vehicles while volunteers brought the food items to them. They have a total of 30,000 pounds of food donated that helped out over 600 families in the Milton community.

Men In Action Outreach (MIA) is a community and youth development organization that provides community service programs and enrichment activities for the youth. MIA’s mission is “to improve the academic achievement, self esteem, social competence, and avoidance of high risk behavior in the at-risk youth in Santa Rosa County and surrounding areas.”

They operate under five program areas which are: Career development, community service, life-skills development, recreation, and tutoring.
