Cash Moore, owner of 16 Cash’s Liquors stores and seven sports bars across Northwest Florida, is back to his philanthropic ways.
Known for buying state title rings for area teams — and even 14-0 rings for the Baker football team in 2017 — Moore delivered once again with a $3,000 check to the state champion Navarre boys weightlifting squad.
In April the Raiders had five podium finishes — including state titles from reigning champ Josh Carter and Jordan Jefferson — to hold off Spruce Creek for the program's first state title.
Carter, who signed to play football with South Alabama, totaled 705 pounds to win the 219-pound class and Jefferson, headed to play football for West Virginia, dominated the unlimited class with a 795-pound total.
Fellow senior Jacobi Smith added a second-place, 680-pound left in the 238-pound division, and seniors Noah Melendez and Chris Williams both placed fourth at 139 pounds and 199 pounds, respectively.
