Eugene Wilson Luck

Milton - Eugene Wilson Luck, 77, of Milton, Florida passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021.

Gene was born on December 2, 1943 in Carso, Missouri to Hazel and Alec Luck and was one of four children. He earned an undergraduate degree from Troy College and a graduate degree from Webster University. Gene served as an officer and pilot in the U.S. Navy for 20 years and subsequently worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 10 years.

Gene was a strong Christian and a loving and devoted husband and father. Many of his friends remember him for his kindness and servant's heart. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Those in the younger generation remember him as a father figure and Christian mentor. Gene is preceded in death by Mary Jane Luck, his true sweetheart and wife of 42 years. He is survived by his daughter Brittany (Katharine) Luck, his sisters Jo Ann Schaper, Barbara (John) Norvell, Linda (Bob) Munsterman, eight nieces and nephews, numerous grand-nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Services for Gene will be held at Olive Baptist Church beginning at 11:30 AM for visitation and noon for the funeral service. Rev. Jon DuBois will officiate. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery at 2 PM. Lewis Funeral Home of Milton has been entrusted with arrangements.

The family would like to thank many kind nurses at Baptist hospital for their devoted care of Gene as well as friends and family who provided prayer, love, and support. We pray that God richly blesses each of you.
