Patrick Reily of Miramar Beach says it’s not good for anybody’s health to have the media scare everyone to death with extreme virus headlines.

The headlines you print sure do scare a person like me: 79 years old with AFIB and COPD, but have you bothered to check the data?

It is to the state’s and the hospitals’ monetary advantage to over-report. I even read that five people who tested positive for COVID-19 were reported as deaths from the virus, although they were actually shot to death.

I am not completely stupid, I will take every precaution to avoid the virus, but I do not think it is good for anyone's mental health to have the media try to scare everyone to death.
