An update on the November 22 crash that killed two people and left three others injured.

HOLT — A deceased passenger has been identified in a recent crash that also killed a 19-year-old.



According to a press release from the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman was 24-year-old Laura Espinosa Castrillon of Colombia. She and Texan Carlos Alvarez-Manco, who was 19, were the victims of a fatal wreck on Interstate 10 on Nov. 22.

FHP reported that Alvarez-Manco was driving a 2015 Kia Forte east when it left the road and hit a tree west of Holt just before 6 a.m.


Other passengers included Cristian Suarez of Texas, Nora Castrillon of Colombia and Cristian Castrillon Zapata of Colombia. Zapata and Castrillon were seriously injured, while Suarez sustained minor injuries.


All except Alvarez-Manco, who was pronounced dead on scene, were taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, the release said.


Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the FHP reported.
