CRESTVIEW —A Crestview man died after being struck by a car on Tuesday night.
William Boles, 48 of Florida, was driving down U.S. Highway 90 near Hare Street around 9 p.m. when his Pontiac Grand Prix collided with 71-year old pedestrian Wilber Ray Heath.
According to the press release from Florida Highway Patrol, Boles failed to observe Heath walking in the road.
After hitting Heath, Boles continued to the travel east on Highway 90. Witnesses and called authorities. Heath was pronounced dead on scene.
Boles was later located and charged with leaving the scene of a crash with injuries, driving with a suspended or revoked license and failure to register a vehicle.
The case is still active pending further investigation.
