MILTON — The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office will have the sheriff and some of his staff members out in public on Monday to advise drivers of the new no-texting law.

That law takes effect July 1 and allows law enforcement officers to stop texting drivers as a primary offense.

The sheriff and deputies will be at the corner of Avalon Boulevard and U.S. Highway 90 in the Park and Ride lot at 9 a.m. Monday.
