The world’s largest food sport event, the World Food Championships (WFC), has partnered with the world’s largest retailer for a series of free food, fiery entertainment and at-home cooking tips at the Navarre Walmart.

After competing in the 2015 World Food Championships, Chef Chris Sherrill guided the decision to bring the annual Food Sport competition to Orange Beach, Ala., for three years (2016-2018). In addition to his WFC contributions, Sherrill also co-founded The NUISANCE Group, a non-profit that helps eradicate invasive species and reduce food waste in the Gulf region.

Serving as the World Food Championships’ Ambassador, Sherrill will host a free interactive cooking demonstration for consumers to give them tips on how to create competition-grade dishes at home from 12-4:30 p.m.  Wednesdays and Saturdays in July beginning July 6 at Walmart Store #4582, 7360 Navarre Parkway.
