'Munch & Learn'

The Florida SBDC at UWF/FWB along with the Navarre Beach Visitors Center offers a Munch & Learn, “Funding Options for Small Business Owners,” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 1 at Navarre Beach Visitor’s Center, 8543 Navarre Parkway. This Lunch and Learn Event will review the funding options for new and existing businesses, including commercial loan eligibility. Find out what you need to do before you seek assistance from a bank to finance your business venture. Learn the steps on the SBA loan checklist. Gain insight into the funding process, and discover alternative sources of financing. The format offers networking, a presentation, and a Q & A session with a business consultant and a lending representative. Lunch is included courtesy of Synovus Bank. 'Starting a Business'

The Florida SBDC at UWF/FWB offers “Starting a Business” from 1-4 p.m. May 3 at Florida SBDC at UWF/Emerald Coast Campus, 1170 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Building 8, Library, 2nd floor in Fort Walton Beach. The workshop we will take an in-depth view of your business concept and discuss the steps to a successful start: Is there a need for your product or service? Can you make money at it? Are you the right person to bring this to market? Is this business compatible with your personal goals? What rules, laws and licensing apply to your business?
