MILTON — A 69-year-old Bagdad woman is nearly $1 million dollar richer after claiming her share of the last Lucky Money jackpot.

Laura Nelson took her winnings from the Jan. 29 drawing in a one-time, lump-sum payment of $650,950.20, according to a news release from the Florida Lottery.

She bought her winning ticket at the CEFCO on U.S. Highway 90 in Milton.

Store manager Connie Clark said they had heard they sold a winning ticket but have been waiting for the lucky customer to come forward and claim the prize.

"Yay! All right!" she said, when she heard a winner had been announced. "I'm glad we got one!"

She said it was the first big winning ticket they have sold in the two years since they have been open.

"This is a new store," she said.

Nelson shared the $1.8 million prize with a Miami man.

The LUCKY MONEY Draw game was replaced by the JACKPOT TRIPLE PLAY Draw game on Jan. 30, 2019.
