The Tuscaloosa Academy boys basketball team defeated Glenwood School 55-45 on Wednesday in the AISA Elite Eight to reach the Final Four in Montgomery.

The Knights (20-6) will face the Success Unlimited-Northside winner on Friday at 2:30 p.m.

The Knights were led by sophomore Sam Rowley, who put up a career high 18 points. Freshman Carson Claytor hit three 3-pointers and scored 12 points off the bench.

 

Tuscaloosa Academy girls roll into Final Four

Kelsey Curry led the way with 24 points, including four 3-pointers in the the Knights' 45-26 victory over Glenwood School in the AISA Elite Eight.

TA (23-3) will face Northside Methodist at the Crampton Bowl Multiplex in Montgomery on Friday at 10 a.m. in the Final Four.

Chloe Johnson scored 10 points and Sahar Aryanpure added nine for Tuscaloosa Academy.

Northridge sweeps matches

The Northridge High tennis teams hosted Pelham on Wednesday. Northridge swept the matches, coming away with 9-0 victories. Northridge is 1-0 and will host Hillcrest on Tuesday.
