If you are a student seeking math assistance before exams, the Rocky Bayou Christian Academy’s Mu Alpha Theta Club offers math tutoring from 12:30-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 at the school campus in Niceville, Room 555, Saxon Building.
Tutors are available for basic math through Advanced Placement calculus, and the service is free and open to any students from local schools or colleges.
Bring your textbooks and old tests or quizzes. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are helpful.

Mu Alpha Theta is a national math honor society, with RBCA’s club focused on preparations for competitions, service to the community and training students to serve Christ.
Three Fort Walton Beach High School students learned their writings have been accepted for publication in the Proper Publishing Tri-County anthology, “2018 Young Writers to Follow."
The publication is available in print and e-book, with a publication date of mid-December.
Savannah Beaulieu wrote “Sowing Sword-Lilies”; Kendall Moreland wrote “A Series of Codes”; and Cassidy Bassett wrote “The Wall.”
In band news, Kannon Goodman and Riane Neal earned tickets to perform in the Florida all-state honor band this January.
The school’s sailing team placed first in the Okaloosa County championship, defeating Choctawhatchee and Niceville High schools.
Cameron Farrah skippered the "A" fleet boat with crew Zach Lambert, while Dalton Edeker skippered the "B" fleet boat with crew Cameron Mendozza.
To honor military veterans and parents in service, Eglin Elementary School held a Veterans Day assembly, presented by the fourth-graders under the direction of music teacher Eddie Steadman. Retired Chief Master Sgt. Les Chambers provided the keynote speech.
The school has welcomed 15 new students and one teacher who were displaced by Hurricane Michael from the Panama City/Tyndall Air Force Base school.
