CRESTVIEW — The local Crestview Kiwanis Club has made a commitment to serve the youth in community. Recently, the club recognized area teachers with monetary gifts.

For years, they have been working on projects such as The Eliminate Project and the Crestview Environmental Park. They raise funds to support these projects with events such as the Sporting Clay Shoot and the Annual Pancake Breakfast.  Most recently, they have donated $1,500 to schools and teachers in the area. This is just a small way to show support and appreciation to the teachers who are helping to mold youth.

Congratulations to the following teachers for being recognized with $100 each:

Ms. Frost – Richbourg  Ms. Havard – Southside  Ms. Bryant – Walker Elementary  Ms. Jenkins – Rocky Bayou Elementary  Ms. Cooper – Laurel Hill School  Melissa – Antioch Elementary  Ms. Merritt – Crestview High School  Ms. Leadmon – Northwood Elementary  Christine – Shoal Rover Middle School  Mr. Miller – Riverside Elementary  Ms. Fassnach – Baker School  Mr. Sexton – Davidson Middle School  Ms. Laing – Davidson Middle School  Ms. Holland – Bob Sykes Elementary  Key Club – Crestview High School
