NAVARRE — Santa Rosa County sheriff’s deputies had a busy Wednesday morning investigating a series of vehicle thefts that happened overnight in the Navarre and Gulf Breeze areas.

Investigators are actively working the theft of several vehicles to include two sedans, one SUV and the tow truck from Tiger Point Paint and Body in Gulf Breeze, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office is not yet sure how the criminals entered the vehicles, and the crimes — which occurred either Tuesday night or early Wednesday — are still under investigation. The thefts occurred on Jessica Way, Nevada Street, Bay Pine Circle and 3600 Gulf Breeze Parkway.

It is unknown if there is a connection to all the thefts, the release said.

Since all the thefts occurred in the south end of the county, investigators are asking citizens with security systems to review their overnight footage for any unusual or suspicious activity. If anything is discovered, authorities are asking they contact the Sheriff’s Office immediately.
