MILTON — A Santa Rosa County man has been sentenced to life in prison after he was found guilty of two counts of attempted first-degree murder with a weapon, according to the State Attorney’s Office.
Santa Rosa County Circuit Judge John Simon sentenced Jevon Marquise Lamar Husfelt, 22, on Tuesday, State Attorney Bill Eddins announced.
On Nov. 9, 2017, Santa Rosa County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a home in Milton in reference to a stabbing. When deputies arrived they found one victim with multiple stab wounds and another victim with the knife still lodged in his head, according to a news release from the State Attorney’s Office.
Both victims were taken to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola for treatment. Husfelt had fled the scene but was found nearby.
Assistant State Attorney Amber Rowland prosecuted the case.
