NAVARRE BEACH — Two women from Memphis, Tennessee, were arrested Friday after they were found sleeping in a vacation rental they weren’t renting with narcotics and alcohol, according to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office.

 

Deputies were dispatched to an address on Gulf Boulevard about 7:30 a.m. When they arrived they found Maggie Mae Thompson, 24, and Jacquelyn Lloyd, 30, asleep in one of the rental's bedrooms, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office.

The home was not under any rental agreements at the time, according to the release. Deputies also found narcotics in the bedroom.

Deputies found Clonazepam pills, a Gabapentin capsule and three baggies of ‘sloth sticks’ (cannabis cigars), the release said. The women did not have prescriptions for any of the narcotics.

Beer cans, moonshine and champagne bottles were also found in the kitchen, the release said.

According to the release, Thompson was charged with unarmed burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, larceny, two counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, and tampering with evidence.

Lloyd was charged with unarmed burglary of an unoccupied dwelling and larceny.

Thompson was released from the Santa Rosa County Jail on $50,000 bond and Lloyd was released on a $32,500 bond, according to the release.
