Authorities say man in 30s flown to local hospital as a trauma patient.

MILTON — A pedestrian was injured after a collision with a train in the East Milton/Ward Basin area, according to City of Milton spokeswoman Pamela Holt.

Santa Rosa County spokeswoman Sarah Whitfield said the train crew called 911 at around 1:33 p.m. to report the collision, which happened on Old Spanish Trail. Whitfield said a man in his 30s was injured and flown to a local hospital as a trauma patient. His identity and condition are not known at this time.

The train will remain in place as the Florida Highway Patrol investigates. Crossings at Elmira Street and Henry Street are now blocked, while the Old Bagdad Highway crossway is open, according to Holt.
