MILTON — The Santa Rosa County Sheriffs’ Office and U.S. marshals are currently looking for a 44-year-old man considered to be a person of interest in the double homicide at a Milton motel.

Two individuals were found dead at Emerald Sands Inn outside early Tuesday morning.

Neither the victims' names or their genders have been released. Authorities also have not indicated how the individuals died.

Authorities announced Wednesday afternoon that they were searching for William "Billy" Eugene Boyette Jr. Boyette, who lives in Escambia County, is also known to frequent Santa Rosa County, according to a release from the SRSO.

He is known to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone with knowledge about his whereabouts should immediately contact law enforcement.

Boyett is 5-foot, 10 inches, weighs about 220 pounds and has grey and black hair.

Boyette also has several active felony warrants for unrelated charges.
