Santa Rosa School officials just released the following message to parents:

Based upon the 11:30 am briefing, we can expect a significant winter event including frozen rain, sleet, snow and icing conditions beginning tonight at 3 am until Wednesday afternoon.

The moisture combined with below freezing conditions will create ice on roads and bridges making transportation unsafe. Therefore, we will close school Tuesday and Wednesday including all activities. Do not discount the seriousness of this event.

Based on our approved school calendar, these days will be made up on March 14th and 17th. A rescheduling of our professional development day will be evaluated at a later date.

School officials recommendation everyone take precautions this evening for a two day event. Roads and driving conditions will be unsafe and great caution should be given over the next two days.

Please stay tuned to local media for additional information.

We will also communicate to you through our Blackboard Connect should these arrangements change.
