The Florida Department of Health in Santa Rosa County has issued a water quality advisory for Carpenter's Park on Munson Highway in Milton. Residents are advised to avoid water related activities at the park due to possible bacteriological contamination from waste water caused by overflow from a manhole at Broad Street and two manholes at North River Walk Road. Waste water from both locations entered the Black Water River. Clean up actions have been taken.
“No Swimming” signs will be posted and water quality sampling will be conducted. The advisory will remain in effect until results of water samples indicate that it is safe to resume water related activities in the area.
