Senior Games date announced
The 2008 Pensacola Senior Games is scheduled for Sept. 15 to Sept. 27 for ages 50 and over in 22 events. Also, this is a qualifier for the Florida State Senior Games to be held at Fort Myers, Fla,, in Dec. 2008.
The Roger Scott Tennis Center will host our tennis competition. Tennis days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with noon starting matches for singles and doubles for men and women plus mixed doubles in their age groups. Dates are September 23, 24, and 25. In addition, before the Senior Games, "Adult and Senior Racket Round-up" is scheduled for free tennis lessons from 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon on Monday through Thursday, September 8 - 11, 2008 at PJC's main campus. Extra rackets will be on loan with lots of instructions and tennis balls to hit. Light liquid refreshments are available on court.
