Pace, Milton notch key district wins
This time of year each district game becomes more important and Tuesday offered some key match-ups.

Lena Land scored what would be the only run of the contest in the first inning as that would be all pitcher Katie Worley would need.
Worley fanned seven and walked three while allowing just two hits over seven innings for the win.
Land, who just signed with East Central Community College in Miss., went 2-for-4 while Rachel Gillis went 2-for-2 in the win.
At Pace coach Curtis Williams shook things up a little bit and the result was hits and offense as the Lady Patriots stopped Escambia High 3-1.
Shelby Brooks was the big hitter for Pace in the lead off spot as she went 4-for-4 with a double to lead Pace who garnered 10 hits on the night.
Pace (7-5; 4-2 in District 1-5A) pounded out 10 hits in the win and scored all three of its runs in the second inning off Gator pitcher Kelley Kirkland.
Jamie Ujvari went the distance for Pace striking out eight while walking only two for the win.
On Monday, Santa Rosa Christian improved to 5-0 on the season as it edged East Hill Christian 12-11.
Santa Rosa Christian needed two runs in the top of the seventh for the win in the back and forth contest.
Hannah Wakeman got the win for SRC striking out eight and walking one.
She also helped her cause with three big RBIs.
