What is RSS?

An RSS feed is a standardized format for delivering the latest content from a website. RSS is usually said to stand for "Really Simple Syndication", because it is relatively easy to implement and use.

Programs that know what to do with RSS feeds are called "aggregators" or "feed readers", and there are a lot of them. Most are very easy to use. They all allow you to stay updated on the latest content from dozens or hundreds of sites at one time.

How do you read RSS feeds?

If your browser is Firefox, Safari, or IE7+, you'll be able to read the feed through your browser. Simply click on the feed you'd like to subscribe to above. Once the feed loads, click the subscribe link or button.

Additionally, you can download a news agregator that will parse the information for you and display it in an easy to read fashion. Below are links to some RSS readers.
