Know your politics
The massive protests against the current Administration’s policies are the result of a great awakening among American citizens.
From tea parties to the movement to clean House in November, great displeasure with the current problems in the Belt Way are being loudly and clearly voiced. Of course, the liberal, mainstream media want us to believe these “protesters” are nuts, and simply hate the President. How wrong they are!
Millions give a failing grade to the President, Congress, and many of the federal agencies that are bankrupting this nation. Money….or the lack of it….is a serious issue. Reminds me of a joke (but isn’t a joke today): “A penny saved is obviously a government oversight.”
Long ago, I read that the purpose of a child’s middle name is so that he can tell when he is really in bad trouble. So, listen up, Barack Hussein Obama!
Like I said, money is the critical issue today. Don’t believe me? Try putting THE and IRS together…..THEIRS!
A friend told me once that giving the government money and power is like giving the family car keys to a teenager!
Politics is not a four-letter word. Some make it that way. Today, corruption is so big in politics that it is becoming that four-letter word. Special interests and lobbyists are on the prowl to BUY every legislator. When buying and selling are controlled by the legislature, the first things to be bought and sold ARE the legislators!
Two…you can take this remark to the bank: “Just because you do not take an interest in politics does not mean politicians won’t take an interest in you.” (Pericles, 430 B. C.).
President Reagan summed it up well when he said: “The government is like a baby’s alimentary canal….with a happy appetite up at one end, and no responsibility at the other.”
Seriously, making political jokes will not get the job done, though it may take off a bit of the pressure.
Highly recommended for every voter:
1. Know the Constitution.
2. Know how the government is supposed to work.
3. Know your candidates.
4. Hold your elected officials’ feet to the fire from election to election!
The worst nightmare of a politician is an informed, educated voter!

Dear Editor,
I am no longer in agreement with Bill O’ Riley, Glen Beck, or Jeff Miller and lower courts as to the requirement for Barack Obama to fulfill the constitutional mandate to establish his eligibility for the Presidency, when constitutionally protected citizens have raised the question.
Here’s why: I recently accompanied my wife in the renewing of her Florida’s driver’s license and ran into the new federal requirements levied on the states as of January 1, 2010. The renewal applicant must now produce a valid marriage license, a valid birth certificate, a social security card, and prove that they live at the address claimed, by documentation.
In our case, a social security clerk had mis-entered my wife’s name on the card. It went unnoticed for a number of years, since most people only look at the number. So we produced a form 1099, which had her correct name, social security number, address and the fact that she was receiving payments. Which, by the law should have been accepted. But this was not good enough. So we went to the Social Security office to get a new card issued. Here, the clerk required guess what? A valid birth certificate that could be verified. Once done, we were given a letter that was accepted by the licensing clerk and the license was issued.
The state requires a VALID birth certificate. That is, one signed by the attending physician or midwife and specifying the hospital.
Now to Obama’s birth certificate: In defying the Constitution’s clear requirement to be a natural born citizen to serve as president, the most sensitive job in the nation, the courts and others have abrogated a responsibility that they willingly impose on all other citizens.
The Director of Health in Hawaii says,”…state law (revised statute 338-18) prohibits the release of a certified birth certificate to persons who do not have a tangible interest in the vital record.”
No tangible interest? When we are subjecting ourselves to his ordered probing in a government search for private and personal life facts? You bet I have tangible interest in the constitutional standing of the man in charge of applying birth certificate requirements on others.
When Obama renews his driver’s license as a private citizen, will he still be excused from complying with the law requiring a real birth certificate?
The courts, in attempting to stymie the Quo Warranto (questioning the authority by which Obama is president) case of California Attorney Orly Taitz, are flouting a clearly implied Constitutional requirement to satisfy eligibility.
Its waiver additionally denies 14th amendment protection to every American citizen desiring Constitutional assurance of eligibility. What is Obama’s problem? Has he simply lost his birth certificate? Or is he hiding something more serious? Certainly, credibility, in the matter of his repeated campaign claims of transparency is utterly destroyed.
