Flag ceremony thanks
FM: Bill Bledsoe
Milton, Fla.
Dear Editor,
The Milton Benevolent Cemetery Board expresses sincere appreciation to all those individuals and organizations who attended the Flag Dedication Ceremony at the historical burial ground on April 19.
Among those were the Marine Corps League, American Legion, Am-Vets, Pensacola Young Marines, the 842nd Signal Battalion of Milton, and those whom I might forget.
Thanks to Captain Rick Sadsad, Commanding Officer, Whiting NAS, the Navy Color Guard, NAS Whiting, Lt. Col. Glassman, Executive Officer of MATSG-021, NAS Pensacola, retired State Attorney Curtis Golden and wife Mary for their encouraging compliments.
An inspiring rendition of TAPS was given by a trumpeter from Milton High School Band as the POW-MIA flag was raised.
Second chance to say sorry
FM: Jessica Brand
Milton, Fla.
Dear Editor,
I understand my original letter of apology was unacceptable. My letter was not supposed to be an explanation of my behavior and/or my actions. I tried to justify and rationalize my action when all and all I should have just apologized.
After reconsidering my original letter and the order I received from the courts. I would appreciate the opportunity to resubmit my letter of apology.
I am sorry my actions resulted in a waste of time, money and resources for the detectives, police officers, and Santa Rosa County as a whole. I also apologize for any worry or problems I caused the rest of the community.
I understand I acted irresponsibly and could have diverted the police’s attention from more important crimes. Also I appreciate the opportunity to fulfill my sanction outside of incarceration.
Although I have spent my 90 days, not being incarcerated allowed me to be with my three children.
Again, I am very sorry and I appreciate the opportunity to resubmit my apology letter. I want to thank Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, Judge Bilbrey, and the probation office.
