Kick-Off for Summer Reading at Rhodes ES

On Tuesday, June 22, 2010, W. H. Rhodes Elementary School hosted their first Summer Reading Kick-Off Party. In an effort to encourage students to read over the summer break; the media center will be open on Tuesdays from 10:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. through Thursday, August 5th.  To celebrate, the media specialist, Mrs. Stone, held a Kick-Off Party in the library. The Milton High School Junior Varsity Cheerleaders participated and led the crowd in a couple of “reading” cheers. Every student in attendance received a paperback book, a bookmark, popcorn and “Panther-Ade” was served. A great time was had by all!
