Navarre business robbed at gunpoint

Election Day saw the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Deputies responding to “Advance America Cash Loans” located on Navarre Parkway in reference to an armed robbery.

This business is located across Highway 98 from the Navarre Publix.

When deputies arrived, an employee at the establishment stated that a white male suspect came into the business armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.

A soon as the suspect entered through the front door, he began pointing the handgun at the employee.

The suspect demanded that the employee give him all of the money from the cash register. The employee complied.

The suspect then fled out the front door with an undisclosed amount of cash.  The suspect was last seen getting into a red Jeep SUV, possibly a Cherokee, with dark tinted windows.

The suspect was described as a white male in his mid 30's, clean shaven, and medium build wearing jeans, a flannel shirt with a hooded sweatshirt underneath, sunglasses, and a baseball cap.

No one was hurt during the robbery.

Surveillance video was obtained from the establishment, but no suspects are known at this time.

Investigators are asking anyone with information concerning the suspect’s identity to contact the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office at 983-1190, or Crime Stoppers at 437-STOP.
