CIS Champions Scholarship available

Communities In Schools of Northwest Florida is inviting local high school seniors to apply for a CIS Champions Scholarship. These scholarships have been funded in honor of Tom Delaino, Johnny Rogers and Honor Bell, three outstanding leaders who have demonstrated a commitment to education in our community. To qualify, a student must be a 2008 graduate of an Escambia or Santa Rosa County high school, have plans to enroll in a college or technical school program in the summer or fall of 2008, and demonstrate financial need. Applications are available on-line at www.cisnwfl.org or from school guidance offices. Applications must be postmarked no later than May 15, 2008. A total of six $1000 scholarships will be awarded.
