Control burn near Yellow River

Eglin Air Force  Base will be conducting two prescribed burns today.

Today's burn will involve 300 acres along the Yellow River in the northwestern portion of the Eglin reservation.

The burn will be a black line operation north of Range Road 211.

Citizens in the area could see a considerable amount of smoke, but there is no cause for alarm.

The weather forcast predicts a southwest wind, whcih should minimize impacts to any sensative areas.
