Okaloosa man critical following beating

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances surrounding the beating of a Crestview man who was discovered unconscious early Saturday morning at a Crestview nightspot.
Investigators say a taxi driver found 55-year old Joseph Boyett Junior of 5423 Old Bethel Road face down and bleeding badly in the parking lot of D-J’s Pub on James Lee Boulevard around 1:50 Saturday morning.
Boyett was taken by Life Flight helicopter to Baptist Hospital in Pensacola where he is in critical condition.
