Navarre bank is robbed Wednesday
Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Investigators are currently investigating a robbery that occurred at the First National Bank at the corner of Rosewood Drive and Highway 98 in Navarre, Fla., Thursday.
At approximately 3:30 pm, a hold up alarm was received from the First National Bank. When deputies arrived, they found that a white male suspect had entered the bank, armed with a black semi-automatic handgun, and demanded money from the clerks present inside the bank.
After retrieving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled from the bank, running north on Rosewood Drive. An extensive search of the area was conducted but the suspect was not located.
Surveillance photographs taken from inside the bank were retrieved and show the suspect involved in the robbery. The suspect's identity is not known at this time.
The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20's that stands 6 feet tall weighing 160 pounds with brown hair short on the sides with side burns. He was wearing a white ball cap with dark lettering, black polo shirt, dark jeans, and tennis shoes during the robbery.
The suspected robber is believed to have fled the bank in a late model lower rider style pickup truck, extended cab, dark in color, white tail lights, chrome rims, possibly an S-10 or similar style
