Book Fair planned to help children
The Homeless Education Programs in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties have a book fair planned at Barnes and Nobel in Pensacola to raise funds for homeless children's underwear. Following Thanksgiving, we have Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at Barnes & Noble. The homeless programs will receive 10% of sales up to $2,000, and then the charitable donation rises to 15%. If you are planning a shopping trip to Barnes and Nobel, all you need to do is tell the cashier at the checkout that you would like the sale credited to the homeless children fundraiser.
Escambia and Santa Rosa counties have run out of funds for homeless children's underwear! Last year we spent $5,000 to meet children’s needs. We have more children this year than ever before whose families are having problems with housing and other bills. 100% of funds go directly to homeless children.
