    Rock attack in Pensacola

On Tuesday, at approximately 9 p.m. an Escambia deputy was in the area of Muscogee and Taylor investigating a deadly missile call when another victim, Steven Liechty stopped.

Liechty added to the report, saying just moments before, he was driving eastbound on Muscogee at Taylor and saw three young male juveniles throwing rocks at his vehicle.

One rock reportedly struck the right rear of his truck causing a dent at which point he immediately stopped his truck and then lost sight the juveniles.

A few moments later several other victims and witnesses began stopping saying that their vehicles were also struck. Each claimed that they saw three black males running westbound down the railroad tracks and then losing sight of them shortly thereafter.

Ron Fretwell, said his son, was driving westbound down Muscogee at Taylor when someone had thrown a rock striking the front left fender of his Chevy Blazer.

John Painter told the deputy he was driving westbound on Muscogee Rd at Taylor St. Painter said he saw several rocks in the middle of the road at which point he heard a loud bang on the driver door of his 1992 Nissan Maxima. Painter stated he pulled over at 1239 Muscogee Rd where he discovered a large dent in the driver door of his vehicle.

Approximately 30 minutes later, Donald McDonald said he was driving a 1993 tan Ford Explorer west on Muscogee Road.

McDonald said he heard a loud banging noise and felt something hit his vehicle.

He stopped his vehicle on the side of the road and noticed several other vehicles at his location which was in the area of Muscogee Road and Taylor Road.

He observed a dent and several scratches to the driver's side rear quarter panel of his vehicle.

Several Deputies searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate any suspects.
