Let's Go Huntin'

Members of the Northwest Florida Tree Hound Club hosted a kids day in the Blackwater Forest at the Coldwater Recreational Area. The club, which was established in 1962 and meets in Jay, had 35 kids attend for a day and night full of activities. According to club president Jim Huie, some of the kids at the hunt had never even had a dog in their hands before. Members teamed up with kids and participated in numerous events during the day and a hunt that night. According to Huie, some members walked up to the kids and told them they were partners and worked with them to get ready for the hunt that night which ended around 1 a.m.
