Suspicious fire damages two homes

Two house on Russell Drive in Milton were damaged by a fire that was suspicious in nature.

Members of the Skyline Fire Department responded to the call at 11:50 p.m. Thursday after an evening that started at 8 p.m.

Assisting at the scene on Russell Drive were units from Avalon, Bagdad, and Pace Fire Departments.

Both fires were reported to be out at 3 a.m. this morning.

The home of Paula Eagen sustained heavy damage, while the home of Gil Reid sustained damage to the front part of the house.

The Florida Fire Marshall for District 1 responded to the scene and was seen collecting pieces from the two structures as part of his report.

Both fires apparently started near the front doors of the homes.
