The State Fire Marshal's office has been called to investigate a fire that burned a Milton home early Wednesday morning.

It appears the home, located near the intersection of Hamilton Bridge Road and Glover Lane, is a total loss.

Milton Fire Chief John Reble said his department was called to fight two blazes at the home, the second starting just an hour after the first was put out.

The first fire alarm went out to firefighters around 12:30 a.m. After being on scene and fighting a garage fire that appeared to be affected by fuel spilled in the garage, Reble says the fire was extinguished and Milton firefighters cleared the scene at 3 a.m.

A second call came in over 911 from a man passing by the structure around 3:54 a.m.

Upon arrival, Reble says it was obvious this fire was burning in the roof over the living room.

While the official cause remains to be undetermined, Reble says the State Fire Marshal's office is responding to the scene to investigate the fires.
