Interstate driver: Can I call my mom?
SANTA ROSA COUNTY -- A man caught driving while intoxicated on Interstate 10 asked officers if he could call his mom to pick up up because he didn't want to go to jail, according to FWC's weekly report.
Two officers were traveling west on the interstate when they saw a blue sedan swerving from lane to lane. They stopped the car and when the driver rolled down the window, they could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverages.
That's when the driver asked to call his mother.
He had trouble with the field sobriety tests and was taken to jail, where he refused to provide a breath sample to determine his blood alcohol content.
