Baker selected as Public Services Employee of the Quarter

Brad Baker, emergency services coordinator, has been selected as the Santa Rosa County Public Services Employee of the Quarter. Baker has been employed with Santa Rosa County since 1988, and was selected as employee of the quarter for his vast experience in public safety and contribution to the success of Santa Rosa County in responding effectively to numerous types of incidents.

 “Self motivation, problem solving, attention to detail, cooperation and flexibility are all traits Brad continuously displays in his daily operations,” stated Tony Gomillion, director of public services.  Recent recognizable accomplishments include: responding in a quick and efficient manner to a wide variety of emergency situations including the Deepwater Horizon incident, maintaining and strengthening relationships with fire departments and Santa Rosa County; monitoring response times, making recommendations for improvements and developing strategies for quality ambulance response and resources; and continuing to provide organization, leadership and training in fire services, emergency medical services, and emergency management.

 The diligence and dedication shown by Baker has been acknowledged and admired by supervisors, colleagues and co-workers.  Baker’s ethical conduct, his performance of protecting our public and his contribution to maintaining the integrity of our organization deserves recognition.
