Gold X Change at SRMC

  1. The Santa Rosa Medical Center Auxiliary is sponsoring a “Gold X Change” Monday, January 11, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. & Tuesday, January 12, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.   Receive Top Dollar Instant Payment for your broken or unwanted 10k, 14k, 18k or 24k yellow or white gold jewelry.  Representatives from Gold X Change will be in the corridor by the vending machines and payment will be made immediately by check.  Proceeds will go toward healthcare scholarships and other outreach projects.  Santa Rosa Medical Center is located at 6002 Berryhill Road, Milton, Florida.

 

Smith earns Bachelor Science degree

Kayla Marie Smith earned her a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi on December 11, 2009. Ceremony was held at Reed Green Coliseum in Hattiesburg, MS. Congratulations!

 

SRMC announces new scheduling for CTs & Mammograms

The Santa Rosa Medical Center’s Radiology Department will now be providing CT Scans and Mammography services on Saturdays beginning this weekend, January 12, 2010.

Hours of service will be 8 a.m. to 12 noon and the Central Scheduling Department will be working with the Business Office staff to pre-register you at the time the test is scheduled. On the day of testing, the patient will present to the Radiology Department in the hospital for CT Scans or to the Medical Office Building, on campus, for Mammograms.

The Pace Fire/Rescue District Fundraiser

The Pace Fire/Rescue District is sponsoring a fundraiser, portraits this year. This fundraiser is to purchase rescue equipment for the department. It will be on-going from now through March, 2010. This is the ONLY fundraiser we do a year.

We appreciate all the donations that we received last year and hope you do a portrait, or donate to the cause. This fundraiser is for the Pace Fire/Rescue District only. Again, thank you so much for your support.

 

Independent Artists for Navarre

The “Independent Artists of Navarre” will be featured in the showcase room of the Dragonfly Gallery now through Saturday, January 30. This exhibit is in memory of Lee VanDeventer, a long-time Navarre artist who died this past fall. A wide variety of art including paintings, photography, pottery, ceramics and wood sculpture from many Santa Rosa County artists will be featured.

The Dragonfly Gallery, 5188 Escambia Street in historic downtown Milton is a mission of the Santa Rosa Arts and Culture Foundation. It is a juried gallery of local artists. City of Milton meetings

• Milton’s Sports Authority will meet on Thursday, January 14 at 6 p.m. in the Meeting Room “C” of the Milton Community Center, 5629 Byrom Street. For further information on this meeting, call 983-5410, ex. 223. This meeting is open to the public.

  • Milton’s Computer Committee will meet Monday, January 11 at 8 a.m. in Conference Room B at City Hall, 6738 Dixon Street in Milton.
  • Milton’s Technical Review Committee is scheduled to meet in regular session on Tuesday, January 12 at 8 a.m. in Conference Room B located at City Hall, 6738 Dixon Street.

• Milton’s Historic Preservation Board is scheduled to meet on Thursday, January 14 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 6738 Dixon Street.

January Tree Sale

Now’s the perfect time to plant! Sarracenia Circle of the Milton Garden Club is hosting a tree sale on Friday, Jan. 15, from 11 a.m. top 1 p.m. at the Milton Garden Club during the ‘Soup & Salad’ event (256 Alabama St. in Milton) and also on Saturday, Jan. 16 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Milton Winn Dixie and the Pace Winn Dixie. Trees available are the Dogwood, Eastern Redbud, Red Maple, Fringe Tree, and the Chickasaw Plum at $2 each, or 6 for $10.

 

11th Annual Banquet & Awards Dinner

The Pace Area Chamber of Commerce is having its 11th Annual Banquet and Awards dinner next Friday, Jan. 15th at the Farmers Opry House in Chumuckla from 6 p.m. until… Tickets are for sale; $25 per person. Plan on a great night of fun, fellowship and food. Items are still needed for the Silent Auction. Auction items should have a value of at least $100. Items can be picked up. Leadership Santa Rosa announces new class

Leadership Santa Rosa announces the LSR class 24. The class, 35 members, attended orientation recently. The class will begin their educational year with SimSoc weekend retreat in January followed by the team building Adventures Unlimited Ropes Course in February and a trip to Tallahassee in March. There after, they will spend one day a month immersed in learning about all the facets of Santa Rosa County.

 

SRC TD meeting

The North End Committee of the Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Council scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 7 has been rescheduled for Friday, Jan. 15 at 8:30 a.m. at the Santa Rosa County Chamber of Commerce. Meeting is open to the public.
