Arcadia Mill open house
Arcadia Mill, located in Milton, Florida, will be hosting its 3rd annual Open House on Saturday, March 13, 2010, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The public is invited to attend this free event. Staff will provide guided tours of the site and educational activities will be available for children. In addition, visitors will be able to see a number of local heritage crafters, artists, living historians and re-enactors demonstrating their crafts and skills. Laura Heyse, Arcadia Mill Educator, says, “This annual event allows us to create a special day for the public. Staff goes above and beyond to showcase the history and archaeology of Arcadia’s significant past, as well as the culture of Northwest Florida.” This event is in conjunction with Florida Archaeology Month.
