Morris and Alpha (Pedigo) King recently observed their 70th wedding anniversary. They were married on June 20, 1941 in the Panama Canal Zone where Morris was stationed as a member of the US Army.
Morris is the son of the late Rufus and Donie King of Milton and Alpha is the daughter of the late Lee and Johnnie Pedigo of Bagdad. They are the parents of five children, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Morris and Alpha were raised in Santa Rosa County but have lived in many other locations because of Morris' military career. For the last ten years, they have made their home in Bagdad.
