MILTON — The Milton Rotary Club recently heard a presentation for Pensacola Habitat for Humanity.
Speaking at the event was Tim Evans, executive director of Habitat for Humanity and Johnny Reble of the Milton Rotary Club.
Pensacola Habitat was founded in 1981 and is a Christian housing ministry. Approximately 1,200 families have purchased homes through the program and there are over 3,500 volunteers per year that work with Pensacola Habitat.
Families have to qualify to purchase the homes. They must put in 200 sweat-equity hours before purchasing their home, which must include a money management class.
