MILTON — Plenty of distinguished individuals were present during the 2017 Arc of the Emerald Coast Awards Dinner held Oct. 26.

It was a night to shine for many clients who were awarded for their accomplishments and hard work throughout the year.

Before the Award Celebration was another long awaited event: the dedication of the Dixie Road building as The Kenneth J Herrholz Memorial Center. There was also another dedication, that of the Garden Center as The Quentin Cooper Memorial Garden.

"We were excited to have in attendance Eric Herrholz and his family along with The Turners," an Arc media release stated. "Both families were instrumental in purchasing the Santa Rosa property and saving The Arc of the Emerald Coast-Santa Rosa programs and services.

In addition to awards presented to the clients, volunteer awards were presented to Patti Bolek and Dean Dizon. Community Hero awards were presented to Daniel Auerbach, Face Dubose, Scout Troop 3, and VFW Post 4833. Corporate Hero Awards were presented to Cotton Electric Inc and Pace Publix Supermarket at Five Points.

The Arc of the Emerald Coast continues to expand its programs and add services for persons with disabilities.
