SANTA ROSA COUNTY — A Crestview man was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries after colliding with another vehicle Tuesday afternoon on I-10.
According to a press release from Florida Highway Patrol, 29-year-old Terry Cook of Crestview was traveling west on Interstate 10 in the westbound outside lane approaching mile marker 42 in a 2015 Chevy Express around 12:26 p.m. Tuesday. As Cook was traveling, he failed to drive within his lane and the front and right side of the Chevy collided with a semi truck parked on the westbound outside shoulder of the interstate.
Cook rotated prior to coming to a final rest facing southeast across both the eastbound lanes inside and outside lanes of travel.
He was taken to North Okaloosa Medical Center with minor injuries, the release said.
The driver of the semi, 27-year-old Rolando Terrero Ginarte of Miami, was inside the vehicle when the collision occurred. He did not suffer any injuries.
Cook was charged with failure to drive within a single lane, according to the release.
