In addition to the Northport police sitting at low-accident prone intersections in Northwood Lake, they also sit for hours at the stop signs on Main Avenue. Numerous tractor-trailer trucks fly along Alabama Highway 69 and U.S. Highway 82 and end up running the red lights as they can't stop in time. Showing a presence at the intersections of these highways and ticketing for these infractions would seem a better use of time and manpower.
