BALTIMORE (AP) " Authorities say federal and local law enforcement agents in Louisiana have arrested a Baltimore fugitive suspected in a killing on Maryland.
Baltimore Police spokesman T.J. Smith said in a statement that 18-year-old Cortez Wall, the agency's "Public Enemy No. 1," was arrested Monday at a Shreveport, Louisiana, home. It says agents with the U.S. Marshal's Office Fugitive Task Force, sheriff's deputies and police with a K-9 detained Wall as he tried to flee.
Wall was treated for minor injuries at a hospital and taken to a local correctional center.
Authorities say Wall was sought on an arrest warrant in connection with the May 6 death of 28-year-old Channon Simpkins in Baltimore. No charges were reported in the police statement, and it wasn't immediately known if Wall had an attorney.
