GULF BREEZE — A Louisiana man is behind bars after Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office deputies pulled him over for speeding and realized he was an attempted murder suspect. 

Devin Deques Anderson, a 25-year-old from Harvey, Louisiana, was pulled over Friday at approximately 5:50 a.m. after a SRSO deputy observed him traveling at 65 miles per hour in a 45 mile per hour zone. 

During the course of the traffic stop, the deputy identified the driver of the vehicle as Anderson, who had an active warrant out of Louisiana for an attempted murder charge. Drugs and a loaded handgun were also located inside the vehicle.

Anderson was arrested and booked into the Santa Rosa County jail.
